    MACHINA's custom chunk generator uses data from the solar system simulation to generate an infinitely explorable procedural world.

    The first iteration of this contains just 1 testing world type, but more will be made in the future. This requires:

    Machinery brings gameplay in the form of machines, cables and multiblocks. The automation should creatively challenge the player to adapt to their planetary environment to automate both MACHINA and Vanilla resources.

    The first iteration of this contains systems for item, energy and fluid handling. Additionally, JEI integration and dynamic GUIs are made, as well as some simple machines to test it with. This requires:

    Expected Q2 2025

    MACHINA's modular rocket system will allow the player to build and customize their own rockets. The player will be able to travel to different planets and moons in the solar system. Rockets will be customizable with different fuel types, engines, and payloads. This requires:

    • Rocket Part Rendering & Registration
    • Rocket Part Bench & Assembly Station
    • Rocket Entity & Fueling
    • Launch Cinematic & Functionality

    Expected Q3 2025

    MACHINA's 3D interactible starchart that displays the solar system simulation in real-time. The starchart will be used to navigate the solar system and plan interplanetary missions.

    MACHINA's planets and moons will have unique hazards that the player will have to overcome. This includes a weather system, atmosphere and wind simulation that will affect the player's ability to survive.

  • tools & weapons

    MACHINA's fully modular tools and weapons system allows the player to customize their gear while making creative choices to balance their loadout. The modular system will also create progression by limiting their survival options until they can craft the necessary parts.

  • qol & open beta

    In this phase of the development cycle, we will be focusing on polishing the mod and adding quality of life features. An open beta will build hype and allow us to get feedback from the community.
